The Pflegegrad Playbook (English Edition) — Launch Package
Frontier idea 1. Judge total at intake: 8/30 (narrow niche, legal-adjacent). Scoped anyway into a launch-ready package. Nothing has been deployed, posted, or purchased.

The one-sentence pitch
English-language win-kit for expat parents fighting German disability bureaucracy — assessment-day script, care-diary template, annotated Widerspruch skeletons — from an American dad who won Pflegegrad 3 in Berlin in Feb 2026, sold at €69 launch pre-order (€89 post-launch) + €150 strategy calls, framed strictly as experience-sharing, not Rechtsberatung.
Source material on disk (read-only, in main repo)
Unicorn.Land/kugy-tracker/ellis-disability-applications-2026-03.md— the case file index: Pflegegrad 3 (01.02.2026), Schwerbehindertenantrag (Merkzeichen H+B, retroactive to 2023), Jugendamt Diagnosebogen with all scoring, tax-benefit math.~/Downloads/fill_diagnosebogen.py,fill_schwerbehindertenantrag.py+ filled PDFs — the actual documents to anonymize into templates.
Privacy rule (non-negotiable): no child name, DOB, address, insurance number, or specific diagnosis appears in any published asset unless Joshua explicitly opts in. The landing page already says only “our son” / “complex needs.” Joshua sets the disclosure line — see Morning Action 1.
Rechtsberatung guardrail
Standing disclaimer (already on the landing page, reuse everywhere):
The Pflegegrad Playbook and Case Strategy Calls share personal experience and publicly available information. They do not constitute legal advice (Rechtsberatung) or a client-advisor relationship, and outcomes in your case may differ. For legal representation, consult a Fachanwalt für Sozialrecht or a social association such as VdK or SoVD.
In DMs/calls: “here’s what we did,” never “here’s what you should file.”
MORNING ACTIONS (if Joshua activates this idea)
- Request to JOIN the Facebook groups (10 min, do this FIRST — approval lag is often 1–3 days). From the channel target list below, join at least: International Families Berlin, Expat Family Berlin, Berlin Kids, English Speaking Parents of Children in German Schools, one special-needs group, and International Parents In Munich. Answer the join questions honestly (“parent of a child with complex needs in Berlin”). You can’t post on Day 2 if you’re not approved yet.
- Decide the disclosure line (5 min, blocks everything). How much of the family’s story is public? Options: (a) fully anonymous “a parent in Berlin,” (b) Joshua’s name + “my son” with no diagnoses (landing page currently assumes this), (c) fuller story. Also: does Scott get a veto pass first?
- Read
SPEC.mdandVALIDATION.md(10 min). Green-light or kill. If kill, stop here — total cost was €0. - Create the Gumroad account/products (20 min). gumroad.com → two products: “The Pflegegrad Playbook” pre-order at €69 launch price (“delivers within 14 days, full refund any time before delivery”), and the free one-pager at €0 for email capture. The one-pager is ALREADY WRITTEN: open
lead-magnet-5-mistakes.htmlin a browser → Print → Save as PDF → upload. (Skim it first; it says “our son / complex needs” and nothing more — consistent with disclosure option (b).) Gumroad is merchant of record → handles EU VAT. - Create the Calendly booking (10 min). 45-min event “Case Strategy Call,” €150 via Calendly payments (Stripe), buffer 15 min, cap 2/week. Description copy: “A parent-to-parent working session: we walk your situation against our documented Pflegegrad 3 / Schwerbehindertenausweis / Jugendamt case. You leave with a written next-steps summary. Experience-sharing, not legal advice.”
- Paste the three URLs into
index.html(search forTODO(Joshua)— 4 spots incl. Impressum) and say the word — agents deploy it to Cloudflare Pages (e.g.pflegegrad.unicorn.land) and generate the free one-pager PDF from the assessment chapter outline. An Impressum is legally required in Germany before the page goes live; reuse the Unicorn.Land one. - Post the win story (Day 2 of validation). Copy-paste-ready:
Last month we got the letter: Pflegegrad 3, approved. Our son has complex needs, we’re an English-speaking family in Berlin, and a year ago I couldn’t have told you the difference between a Pflegegrad and a Schwerbehindertenausweis. No lawyer — just a lot of late nights learning what the Medizinischer Dienst assessor actually scores, keeping a two-week care diary, and figuring out how the Jugendamt forms work. The thing nobody tells you: the assessment isn’t about your child’s diagnosis, it’s about how you describe an ordinary (hard) day. If you’re an English-speaking parent staring down this system and want to compare notes, ask me anything in the comments or DM me — happy to share what worked for us.
Post to the groups from the channel target list below (check each group’s self-promo rules; no product link in the post itself), then per the Day 2–6 schedule in VALIDATION.md.
7. Forwardable email to 2–3 international-school contacts. Copy-paste-ready:
Subject: For any parent fighting the Pflegegrad system in English
Hi [name] — quick one. We just won Pflegegrad 3 for our son here in Berlin, and I’ve written up everything we learned (the MDK assessment, the care diary, the appeal process) in English for parents who can’t face it in Amtsdeutsch. If you know a family in the school community dealing with this, feel free to forward them this page: [URL]. The one-page assessment guide on there is free. — Joshua
- Week-2+ execution is in
SPEC.md; the kill/green thresholds for Day 7 are inVALIDATION.md.
Channel target list (drafted overnight — every rule status is “verify before posting”)
Human verification of each group’s rules is a morning/Day-2 action; this list exists so that action is a checklist, not research. Sizes are rough public figures; confirm on join.
| # | Channel | ~Size | Self-promo posture | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | International Families Berlin (FB) | ~10k | Verify before posting — support group, likely story-OK / link-in-comments | JOIN morning. Best first post: the win story |
| 2 | Expat Family Berlin (FB) | ~5k | Verify before posting | JOIN morning |
| 3 | Berlin Kids (FB) | ~10k | Verify before posting — schools/kids topics on-topic | JOIN morning |
| 4 | English Speaking Parents of Children in German Schools (FB) | ~5k | Verify before posting | Jugendamt/§35a + school-report angle lands here |
| 5 | Special-needs parents in Germany, English-language (FB) | small | Verify before posting — search “special needs kids Germany”, “FASD Germany”, “autism parents Germany English”; resource-sharing groups are usually welcoming but ask mods | Highest intent per member. If none found, diagnosis-specific international groups with a Germany subcommunity |
| 6 | International Parents In Munich (FB) | ~10k | Verify before posting | Day 5 wave |
| 7 | Frankfurt / Hamburg expat-parent groups (FB) | ~5k each | Verify before posting — search “Frankfurt expat parents”, “Hamburg expat families” | Day 5 wave |
| 8 | Toytown Germany forum | large, older | Forum rules restrict advertising — participate in family/health threads, product only if asked | Slow burn, good SEO residue |
| 9 | r/germany | ~1M+ | HOSTILE to self-promo; AMAs need prior mod approval | Weekly question thread / answer-other-people’s-questions ONLY. No links unless asked in DM |
| 10 | r/Berlin (+ r/Munich) | ~500k | Self-promo generally removed; verify current rules | Same comment-only posture |
| 11 | International-school parent WhatsApp/newsletters | n/a | Via warm contacts only | Forwardable email above; name 2–3 contacts in the morning |
Reddit fallback (if rules disallow even a story post): comment-only participation — search each sub for “Pflegegrad”, “MDK”, “Widerspruch”, “disabled child” and answer questions substantively with no link; put the link in profile bio; DM the link only when explicitly asked. That alone can hit the DM threshold in VALIDATION.md.
Mod-permission DM (for FB groups whose rules require approval):
Hi — I’m a parent in this group (English-speaking family in Berlin, son with complex needs). We recently got Pflegegrad 3 approved and I wrote up what we learned about the MDK assessment as a free one-page guide in English. Would it be OK to share our story and mention the free guide here, or would you rather I keep it to comments when someone asks? Happy to follow whatever the group prefers.
Drafted emails (paste-ready)
Email 1 — lead-magnet delivery / welcome (set as the Gumroad receipt or first follow-up):
Subject: Your MDK one-pager — and the one thing to start today
Hi — thanks for grabbing the 5 Mistakes one-pager. The PDF is attached / at the link below.
If you only do one thing after reading it: start the care diary today. Two weeks of “what happened, what support was needed, how long it took” is the single most persuasive document you can hand an assessor — it’s what carried our own assessment. (We’re an English-speaking family in Berlin; our son was approved for Pflegegrad 3 in February 2026, first application, no lawyer.)
I’m turning our full case file — assessment-day script, the diary template, annotated Widerspruch letters, the Jugendamt forms — into The Pflegegrad Playbook, in English. It’s open for pre-order at the €69 launch price (€89 after the first 10) and ships within 14 days, full refund any time before delivery: [PLAYBOOK URL]
And if your assessment or Widerspruch deadline is in the next two weeks, don’t wait for a book — hit reply or book a call and we’ll walk your situation against our case: [CALENDLY URL]
— Joshua
This is one family’s experience, not legal advice (Rechtsberatung). For legal representation: a Fachanwalt für Sozialrecht, or VdK/SoVD membership (~€6–8/mo includes Widerspruch support).
Email 2 — Week-3 launch email to the list:
Subject: The Pflegegrad Playbook is live — first 10 at €69
Hi — quick one, because deadlines in this system are real.
The Pflegegrad Playbook is finished and shipping. Everything we used to win Pflegegrad 3 for our son as an English-speaking family in Berlin — the system map, the assessment-day script (the six modules and the “best-day trap”), our two-week care diary template, Widerspruch letter skeletons in German with English annotations, the Jugendamt §35a walkthrough, and the tax benefits most families never claim.
The first 10 copies go at the €69 launch price; after that it’s €89. One link: [PLAYBOOK URL]
Two situations where you shouldn’t buy the book first: 1. Your MDK assessment is in the next 30 days, or 2. You just got a rejection or a lowball Bescheid (your Widerspruch clock — one month — is already running).
For those, book a Case Strategy Call instead: 45 minutes on your specific situation against our documented case, written next-steps summary afterwards, playbook included. [CALENDLY URL]
Questions about your own case? Reply — I read everything.
— Joshua
Experience-sharing from one parent to another, not legal advice (Rechtsberatung). If you need representation: Fachanwalt für Sozialrecht, or VdK/SoVD.
What agents do next (no human needed, on green-light)
- Anonymize the real case documents into the four templates (care diary, assessment script, Widerspruch skeletons, Diagnosebogen walkthrough) for Joshua’s edit pass.
- Draft the full playbook chapters from the case file + current SGB XI rates (verify 2026 Pflegegeld figures at draft time).
- ~~Generate the free one-pager PDF~~ DONE —
lead-magnet-5-mistakes.html(Joshua prints to PDF, or agents render it headless on request). - Deploy landing page once URLs are in; when the playbook ships and the first 10 sell out, apply the post-launch €89 swap documented in the HTML comment in
index.html.
