PROSPECTS — The KG Papers / Structuring Sprint

Purpose: turn “20 warm DMs” from hand-waving into a named list. The agent cannot know who Joshua actually knows — so this is a scaffold with the segmentation, warm-path prompts, and DM variants done, and 20 empty rows Joshua fills from LinkedIn/WhatsApp in one 15-minute timeboxed pass (MORNING ACTION #3). Do not skip the segment column: the DM variant depends on it.

Segments: - (A) Actively forming/converting — standing up a KG now or in the next 2 quarters, or converting SPVs to a fund. → gets the Sprint-variant DM. These are the €5k conversations. - (B) Advisors & lawyers as channel — fund counsel, fund admins, tax advisors, ESG consultants who touch emerging managers. → gets the channel DM (they recommend, they don’t buy). - (C) Amplifiers — community operators, newsletter/podcast people, well-connected GPs past their formation. → gets the amplifier DM.

The list (fill: 15-minute timebox, aim 8× A / 6× B / 6× C)

DM variants

Sprint variant — segment (A), the one that matters

Hey [name] — quick one. I’m packaging my German fund-formation scar tissue (KG structure, Satzung, BaFin sub-threshold path, SFDR) into plain English for English-native managers. Two things: I made a one-page map of the whole entity stack — want it? It’s free and it’s the napkin drawing I wish I’d had. And the real question: are you (or is someone on your cap table) actually forming or converting right now? If yes, I’m running a small number of structuring sprints this quarter — three working sessions so you arrive at your lawyer with the structure understood and the decisions framed, instead of paying €400/hr for vocabulary. 20 minutes this week and I’ll walk you through the map against where you are — free, no pitch if it’s not a fit.

(Note the close: the Sprint question, not the €299 question. The guide comes up only if they’re not forming.)

Channel variant — segment (B)

Hey [name] — you spend real hours explaining KG/BaFin/Satzung basics to English-native clients before the billable work can start. I’m writing the plain-English pre-reading that does that hour for you — annotated generic skeletons, statute citations, “questions to ask your counsel” per chapter. Keine Rechtsberatung, explicitly — it’s designed to make your engagement faster, not replace it. Would you sanity-read one chapter for accuracy? And would you ever hand something like this to a client before a first meeting?

Amplifier variant — segment (C)

Hey [name] — I turned my German fund-formation experience into a one-page entity map (KG / GP-GmbH / ManCo / carry vehicle, in English) and I’m writing the field guide behind it. You know everyone in this scene: who’s forming or converting a KG right now that I should talk to? Happy to share the map with anyone — it’s free.
